Originally, our clothing was made of safe, minimally-processed conventional cotton, without harsh added chemicals, dangerous flame retardants, and chemical softeners. After conducting thorough research, we recognized the advantages of shifting our Cotton Basics Collection™ to GOTS-certified ORGANIC cotton. Transitioning to organic cotton is not only a safer choice for our young clientele and the environment, but it also holds significant importance for the well-being of cotton farmers who face health risks due to the carcinogenic pesticides commonly used in conventional cotton farming today (which are NOT utilized in certified organic cotton farming). Many of these farmers are parents themselves, emphasizing our commitment to promoting their longevity for the sake of their families.
